Amrut Peated Single Malt Indian Whisky 700ml

As India’s tropical climate is not conducive to developing peat naturally, this expression is crafted using peated Scottish barley sourced from Bairds Malting, then distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks at Amrut Distilleries.

The new 46% ABV Amruts present a markedly different experience compared with the original release, which was pleasant but relatively restrained. At this higher strength, the 24ppm peated expression delivers a lively, sparkling sensation across the palate.

This is an excellent offering, representing a significant improvement and showcasing a distillery progressing in leaps and bounds.
