Chief's Son The Tanist is an exceptionally smooth, sweet yet richly flavoured whisky, matured through a double wood process that marries the spirit with two different types of oak. This technique allows the whisky to develop its character during an extended period of maturation.

The early notes of smooth honey, sweet vanilla and citrus are drawn from the firmer American oak, while the more robust flavours of stone fruits, dark toffee and mature sherry are derived from French oak casks. The rich, oily malt structure creates a honey like mouthfeel, finishing with remarkable length and elegance.
