From the Hakushu Distillery, located in the foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake, comes the Distiller’s Reserve single malt whisky. This expression showcases the herbaceous and smoky qualities for which Hakushu whiskies are renowned. It is crafted using a combination of heavily peated and lightly peated malts, resulting in a deep and complex profile.
On the nose, there are notes of fresh grass, pine and peppermint, complemented by subtle hints of cucumber and melon. The palate delivers bright pops of citrus zest and mint, finishing long, rounded and smoky.
Under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 it is an offence: For liquor to be delivered to a person under the age of 18 years. Penalty: fine not exceeding 20 penalty units. For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase liquor. Penalty: fine not exceeding 10 penalty units
