Kirin Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whisky 700ml

Hot on the heels of winning the Kirin Brewery Company World Whiskies Awards 2020 World’s Best Grain Whisky for its Single Grain 30 Years Old Small Batch, Kirin Fuji Single Grain has generated considerable interest within the Japanese whisky community. The general consensus is that Kirin’s Master Distiller, Jota Tanaka, has certainly lived up to expectations with this release.

Nose, crème caramel, stewed apple with cinnamon, dried banana, nutmeg, smooth creamy oak, spearmint and a hint of shellfish.

Palate, baking spices, pepper and sea salt, followed by brown sugar, stewed apple, dried banana and crème caramel. With a little water, it develops a Bourbon like character with notes of orange, liquorice and rye spice.

Finish, icing sugar, nutmeg, brown sugar and liquorice. A luscious and complex grain whisky with excellent balance.
