Fortified Cask is a tribute to the art of matching the right spirit with the right cask.

Mature rye whiskey is rested for a further six months in three fortified wine casks, Apera, Chardonnay Tawny and Fortified Semillon, stored at the top of the Brunswick warehouse. Exposed to the full intensity of Melbourne’s summer heat, the fortified casks impart sweetness, richness and a lingering finish to the naturally dry rye grain.

This careful selection process results in a striking rye whiskey, offering aromas of roasted walnut, maple syrup, clove, leather and fig on the nose. The palate reveals notes of orange marmalade, fruitcake and bittersweet caramel.

An ideal companion for winter, Fortified Rye is best enjoyed neat or over ice.
