Crafted in Tasmania’s pristine environment, Section 44 American Oak Cask Single Malt Whisky is a masterfully balanced spirit that reflects the purity of its island origin and the influence of seasoned American oak. Matured in carefully selected ex bourbon barrels, this 700 ml expression presents a smooth, approachable character with a rich, honeyed complexity.
The use of American oak brings forward sweet vanilla, toasted coconut and light caramel notes, perfectly complemented by the natural richness of Tasmanian barley and pure mountain water sources. The result is a warm, inviting whisky that is ideal for sipping neat, or with a small splash of water to reveal its layered character.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Soft vanilla, honeycomb and fresh orchard fruit.
Palate: Creamy and smooth, with hints of toffee, toasted oak and citrus zest.
Finish: Clean, lingering and gently sweet, with a delicate oak spice.
