Stella Artois has a rich heritage dating back to 1366 in Leuven, Belgium, and is today regarded as the gold standard of quality in over 80 countries. First brewed in 1926 as a Christmas beer in Leuven, it was named Stella, from the Latin word for star, inspired by the Star of Christmas, and Artois, after Sebastian Artois, the founder of the brewery.
A Belgian style blond pilsner, it carries a delicate fruity aroma with a gentle Saaz hop character, without obvious citrus, floral, resinous or herbal notes. Subtle malty and grainy notes provide a gentle sweetness that balances the noticeable bitterness, which lingers softly into a light, dry, astringent finish. Medium bodied and well balanced throughout.
Under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 it is an offence: For liquor to be delivered to a person under the age of 18 years. Penalty: fine not exceeding 20 penalty units. For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase liquor. Penalty: fine not exceeding 10 penalty units
