Part of the annual vintage release of Midleton Very Rare since 1984, each Master Distiller at Midleton Distillery draws on exceptional attention to detail, a passion for quality whiskey and outstanding craftsmanship to create the pinnacle of Irish whiskey, their signature vintage release.
The Midleton Very Rare 2024 release marks forty years since the launch of the first vintage expression. It offers decadent, luxurious flavours and a truly enticing palate experience. For the 2024 edition, Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman increased the proportion of grain whiskey and medium style pot still whiskey (Midleton produces three pot still styles: light, medium and heavy), while also raising the number of first fill American oak casks used for both pot and grain whiskey maturation.
This expression was awarded a Silver Medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2024.
