The youngest in a trio of travel retail exclusives, those already familiar with Glenmorangie’s Lasanta may notice some similarities here. While Lasanta is finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, The Accord is aged in ex bourbon barrels and finished exclusively in Oloroso casks. The result is, as Brand Ambassador Brendan McCarron notes, a punch of richness, depth and spiciness that a great sherry whisky should deliver.
It is otherwise characterised as a fruity and rich Glenmorangie, showcasing Bill Lumsden’s expertise in cask marrying. Ex bourbon barrels provide smooth, fruity notes, while Oloroso sherry imparts gentle sweetness and spice. Presented in a one litre format.
