The process begins with oak barrels previously used to mature rum in Martinique, French Caribbean. These barrels are then used to age IPA beer in France, before being employed to finish the whisky. The result is a harmonious combination: a refreshing hop aroma and gentle bitterness from the IPA, the honeyed fragrance of rum, and a roasted apple-like sweetness from the wood finish.
