Known as the pioneer of Japanese whisky, Yamazaki is Japan’s first and oldest distillery. Established in 1923 on the outskirts of Kyoto, it is set in a unique misty region where water and mountains create diverse natural conditions and temperature shifts, ideal for whisky maturation. It is here that Japanese whisky was born, and where Suntory’s flagship single malt, Yamazaki, continues to be crafted.
